Champion ONE Names John Jutila as New CEO

Twenty Year Telecommunications Veteran and Former Alcatel-Lucent Executive Joins Optical Networking Components Industry Leader

BEACHWOOD, Ohio – March 4, 2014 –Champion ONE, the leading 3rd party optical transceiver company, today announced the appointment of John Jutila as Chief Executive Officer. Jutila, a seasoned telecommunications industry executive with a proven track record of growing revenue and market share, brings a breadth of telecommunications, information technology, optical networking and optical components expertise to Champion ONE.

Jutila joins Champion ONE from Alcatel-Lucent, a global leader in telecommunications and networking solutions.  During his tenure at Alcatel-Lucent, Jutila held various senior executive roles providing leadership for Global Alliances in cloud and data center solutions, mission-critical government and industry networking, optical networking sales and marketing and was previously President of the North American Optical Fiber Division. Jutila has also held other key executive sales and marketing positions with various technology start-ups and high growth divisions of Fortune 500 companies.

Jutila earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, an MBA in International Finance from the University of Toledo, and is currently a Doctoral candidate at Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France.
