We’re excited to announce we will soon be offering a 100G Coherent Open Networking Switch!
This versatile switch includes both switching and transport functions in one 1.5RU package. It is ideal for both extended data center interconnects and metro/longhaul applications. Powered by a Broadcom Tomahawk Plus chipset, it features up to 6.4Tbps switching capacity. The faceplate features both 16 fixed QSFP28 ports and 8 line card slots that can be used to support 100G DCO CFP2 transceivers. These digital coherent optical transceivers use advanced light modulation schemes to extend the distance of 100G transmission up to 2000km (or 200G transmission up to 300km), and are simpler to tune and deploy than their analog (ACO) counterparts.
As an open networking solution, this switch can be used with open source network operating system (NOS), or software from our partners at IP Infusion. It is a strong addition to our Intelliport portfolio of switches and open line systems. You can browse our currently available solutions here.
